Spinach paniyaram
Spinach has a high nutritional value and is extremely rich in antioxidants, especially when fresh, steamed, or quickly boiled. It is a rich source of vitamins( A, C, E, K), magnesium, manganese, folate, iron, vitamin B2, calcium, potassium, vitamin B6, folic acid, copper, protein, phosphorus, zinc, niacin and omega-3 fatty acids.
Ingredients:
- 2 cup – Idly flour
- 2 tbsp – Spinach paste ( cook and grind spinach)
- 1 tsp – Garlic (chopped finely)
- 1 tsp – Green chili (chopped finely)
- Salt if needed
Preparation method:
- Cook spinach and grind to a smooth paste.
- Take a wide bowl, add idly flour, chopped garlic and green chili, spinach paste and salt (if required), mix everything well together.
- Heat paniyaram pan. Put 2-3 drops of oil in each hole; fill each hole with the batter and drizzle a drop of oil on top. After 2-3 minutes, flip over to cook the other side. Once both sides turn golden brown, switch off and serve hot with any spicy chutney.
Notes:
- You can increase or decrease the quantity of spinach paste as per your taste.
